Ministry of Infrastructure
The task of the Ministry of Infrastructure is to set the course of action and create legislative solutions to enable the functioning and development of the departments of government administration: transport, inland navigation, maritime and water management. This structure of the ministry enables us to take an integral approach to Poland's transportation system. In recent years, we have placed great emphasis on improving access to our seaports, renovating and building new wharves and dredging the waterways. This is very important because Poland's maritime industry survived the worst moments of the pandemic in good condition. Seaports have maintained transshipments, and shipyards and those working on their behalf have maintained production capacity despite the challenges of the market turmoil. Confirmation of the special role that the maritime economy occupies in the government's work is provided by the current investment activities underway and planned for implementation: the cross-cutting of the Vistula Spit and the construction of the Shipping Channel, the construction of the Central Port in Gdansk, the External Port in Gdynia or the Container Terminal project in Swinoujscie. Such investments strengthen the position of the Polish economy.
Unity Line's offer is tailored to each passenger - motorized or individual, as well as those traveling in a group. The shipowner takes care not only of efficient transportation to the other side of the Baltic Sea, but also provides access to further regions of Scandinavia. Unity Line, is also comprehensively organized trips. During the trips, one can traverse the Swedish coast, learn about the symbols of Scandinavia or visit the royal estates of Denmark. Travelers who prefer to discover the North on their own are offered hotel packages. The carrier's trump card is its responsiveness to customer needs. Hence "tailor-made" offers: team-building trips for companies, educational trips for schools, hen and stag cruises, and even the organization of weddings or proms on the ferry.

Thanks to their excellent location, the ports of Szczecin and Swinoujscie are the only ones in the country with access to all environmentally friendly modes of transport - sea, inland waterway E-30 and rail CE-59, E-59. In turn, through the A11 and A20 highways, the ports are connected to the European highway system, and through the national road S3 (E-65) to the south of Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia and further to southern Europe.

A terminal dedicated to handling mainly dry bulk cargo is also located in the port of Swinoujscie. The northern part of this port, on the other hand, is an external port with infrastructure for handling LNG-fueled ships. Maritime Poland
Maritime Poland
Maritime Poland is a multi-faceted social media website. We took our first steps in August 2019. Despite the fact that we have only been operating in the media market for two years, we have found ourselves among the industry leaders. We make every effort to maintain the highest standards of our work, quality and business integrity. Therefore, our portal is not only information, but also interesting interviews with experts and authorities in the maritime industry, modern video and audio materials, articles on the history of the maritime economy. Our mission is to popularize and transfer knowledge in the field of maritime economy.
The name of Maritime Poland-derived from the act of Poland's symbolic Wedding to the Sea, which in 1920 in Puck gave birth to Poland's maritime economy and administration-obliges us to reliably inform readers about the development of the maritime economy, key investments, results and progress, thanks to which the maritime economy is gaining strength every day. We are creating a compendium of knowledge about the activities of economic ministries in the field of legislation, education, development strategies of individual areas and all other activities supporting the maritime industry.
We know how important the maritime industry is to the economy, and we try to show this to our readers. As much as 10 percent of Poland's income comes from taxes due: VAT, excise duties and customs duties of sea port boards. In 2018, Poland's seaport boards paid PLN 40.6 billion in due taxes to the state budget. That's nearly 10 percent of the total revenue in the Polish budget on this account.
Maritime Poland Team
Success is created by people, thanks to our employees we are able to operate on many levels and meet the expectations and requirements of our customers. Our team is made up of highly motivated and committed people who have been covering maritime issues for many years. In the editorial team there are people with journalistic experience, but also graphic designers, implementers, people with knowledge and practice in marketing, trade and advertising (among others in the organization of international events such as World Maritime Days, International Maritime Congress).
In addition, we cooperate with many other entities that carry out photographic and video assignments for us, as well as specialized articles (among other things, we cooperate with universities). We are everywhere where something important for the maritime economy is happening. With the support of the Ministry in 2020, these opportunities have expanded significantly. We participate in conferences, events and any events of importance to the maritime industry.
Companies working with us
We are trusted by many entrepreneurs and entities that are of particular importance to the maritime economy. We cooperate with, among others, the Szczecin and Swinoujscie Sea Ports Authority, the Maritime Academy in Szczecin, the Maritime Cluster of Western Pomerania, Radio Szczecin, the Maritime Office in Szczecin, Polish Television in Szczecin, the Swinoujscie Ferry Terminal, the Gryf Logistics Center, and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Office.
This confirms the creativity of the team, the style and variety of services performed. Cooperation with entities of different profiles (companies, universities, media, public authorities) proves that we are able to meet high requirements, and the offer has multidirectional perspectives.
Cooperation with the Maritime Cluster of Western Pomerania.
The Maritime Cluster of Western Pomerania is formed - in cooperation with the scientific and research sector, as well as authorities and administration - by thriving, modern companies from the region. It brings together more than 70 partners. Maritime Poland, thanks to close cooperation with the cluster, has access to flexible horizontal cooperation between three groups of entities: entrepreneurs, business environment institutions and educational entities, as well as public authorities. The environment created by the cluster facilitates opportunities for rapid interaction and cooperation with entities specifically related to the maritime economy, and this translates into tangible benefits, including one of the most valued in a world overflowing with information - efficient communication and knowledge exchange. Our cooperation also translated into the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies, which was particularly important in the era of the pandemic. We joined the "Supporting Hospitals" initiative, the aim of which was to direct funds to current health care needs.

Chipolbrok Chinese-Polish Shipbuilding Company S.A.
The China-Poland Shipbuilding Society was established on June 15, 1951, based on an agreement between the governments of the Republic of Poland and the People's Republic of China. The Society was established mainly to establish a sea link between Chinese and Polish ports. The activities of the Society's fleet allowed for the regular supply of goods for the reconstruction and development of the PRC economy, which was burdened by an embargo at the time.
According to the statute, the Society's headquarters was established in China - initially in Tianjin and, since 1962, in Shanghai, while the branch was established in Poland in Gdynia. In addition, the Society now also has its own office in Houston (USA), where the company was established.
The company's operations and financial performance allowed for systematic development, expansion and modernization of the fleet. In the early 1990s, as a result of changes in the trade structure, the share of cargo traded between China and Eastern European countries in the Society's shipments fell from about 90% to nearly 30%.
The newly created conditions forced Chipolbrok to restructure quickly. The Society, as a long-established company with the trust of its customers, set itself the goal of adapting its operations to the new criteria. After 1990, the Society carried out restructuring in its commercial and shipping operations, which adapted the company to the new economic conditions in the shipping market and allowed it to significantly reduce costs.
An important part of the restructuring was a change in the concept of operations, i.e. the inclusion of the Society in the transport service of China's trade with Western European and Mediterranean countries. Chipolbrok, despite being a state-owned company, functions strictly commercially, i.e. it obtains cargo in a competitive market through its own acquisition and a network of agents and brokers. Such activity is enforced by the countries of Western Europe, the Far East and the United States, with which the company cooperates, as well as competition with private and state-owned companies.
Currently, the Society's fleet consists of 14 modern, versatile, three-deck multi-purpose vessels suitable for project cargoes and all kinds of oversize cargoes, as well as 5 vessels on long term charter. Starting in 2021, the company's fleet will expand by another 4 vessels, expanding each with a 62,000 DWT capacity.
Currently, the Society is one of the leaders in the shipping market in the field of regular carriage of conventional general cargo, heavy and oversized pieces on routes:
- Europe - Far East
- Europe - Middle East - India - Far East.
- Far East - Gulf of Mexico and East Coast of the U.S., eastern direction
- Far East - Mediterranean - Europe, west direction
- Gulf of Mexico and East Coast of the U.S. - Europe, eastern direction
