8th International Maritime Congress

The 8th International Maritime Congress was held in Szczecin on September 14 and 15. This has invariably been one of the most important maritime events in Poland for years, gathering several hundred participants from Poland and abroad. During it, managers, scientists and experts together with representatives of governments and European institutions discussed issues related to the maritime industry. More than half a thousand people declared their participation in this year's edition. The organizers scheduled three plenary debates and 14 panel discussions, with nearly 100 panelists.

Opening of the congress

The inauguration ceremony took place on September 14 at 9:00 am at the Szczecin Philharmonic Hall. A special letter was addressed to the Congress participants by the Speaker of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, and the Prime Minister of the Polish Government, Mateusz Morawiecki. The letter from the Speaker was read by MP Artur Szałabawka. In turn, the letter from the Prime Minister was read by the West Pomeranian Governor, Zbigniew Bogucki.

Day 2 of the congress

On the day, participants moved to the halls of the Maritime Academy's Faculty of Transport Engineering and Economics at 4 Szczerbcowa Street in Szczecin, where they debated in fifteen panel discussions on topics related to ports, shipping, ecology, and digitalization and innovation in the maritime economy.
