On May 13–14, 2026, Szczecin will host the 12th edition of the International Maritime Congress—one of the most important events in the maritime industry in the Baltic Sea region and in Europe.

Every year, the congress brings together a wide range of participants: representatives of public administration, international organizations, shipowners, port authorities, the shipbuilding industry, and the academic community. It serves as a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as a forum where the future direction of the maritime sector is shaped.

This year’s edition will focus on the key challenges facing the industry. Discussions will center on topics such as the security of port infrastructure and the Baltic Sea, the competitiveness of European shipping, the resilience of supply chains, and the energy transition, including the development of the offshore sector.

The event program includes both plenary debates and specialized thematic panels. The first day of the Congress will be devoted to strategic discussions among international experts, while the second day will feature more detailed analyses in thematic sessions covering, among other topics, ports, shipping, security, and the maritime industry.

The International Maritime Congress is not only a venue for substantive debates, but also a space for building relationships and cooperation among key market players. In light of rapid geopolitical and economic changes, this event takes on particular significance as a forum for discussing the future of the European and Polish maritime economies.
