Conclusions after the 11th International Maritime Congress in Szczecin: strategic directions for the development of the Polish maritime economy!

The International Maritime Congress already took place several weeks ago, but the culmination of the event was not the end of the work of its Program Council. Only last Friday it concluded its activities, summarizing the debates and discussions. On the basis of these, concrete recommendations were formulated.

Experts presented the collected material covering six thematic blocks - from industrial development, shipping and ports to renewable energy and education. The document containing comprehensive information was handed over to Arkadiusz Marchewka, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure, by the Chairman of the Program Council, Professor Stanislaw Iwan of the Maritime University of Technology in Szczecin.

This year's edition of the Congress was distinguished by record attendance, a truly international character and the participation of industry experts from around the world.

Minister Arkadiusz Marchewka stressed that the event was part of the six months of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU - including through the organization of an informal meeting of European ministers for maritime affairs, which ended with the development of the so-called "Szczecin Declaration."

- The maritime economy is Poland's economic, energy and military security, Minister Marchewka said.
